Jubileumsutställning i Malmö –
Baltiska utställningen 100 år 1914 – 2014
In English see down!

Anniversary show in Malmo –
Baltic exhibition 100 years 1914-2014
1700 exhibitors from Russia, Germany, Sweden and Denmark were collected in May 1914 at the Baltic exhibition that took place there Pildammsparken now located in Malmö. The exhibition was marked by extravagance and was very modern. The exhibition was held at the same time as World War I broke out, the summer of 1914.The number of works were impressive with their 3500, works by artists from the countries around the Baltic Sea. Now and until January 11, 2015 will see some of these works in the form of Malmö Art Museum’s Russian collection along with Scandinavian turn of the century art.
I walked around and took in these mighty creations in just over an hour. Need many more hours to take in all the emotions and thoughts that are born at the beholding of all these works from a different time. However, I can see in some works similar to the work my artist father and his artist friends created during the 1940s to 1970s. The visit was an experience in many ways, and if you visit Malmö do not miss this exhibition Baltic 100 years Jubilee 1914 -2014. Location. Malmö Art Museum.

And here some music that might be heard at the turn of the century,
Waltz of the Flowers from ”The Nutcracker” by Pjotr Tjajkovskij.
