Finally school holidays! – Äntligen sommarlov!

Today, many students in our country go on summer vacation and many graduate. The sun is shining and summer is here. Now the students get a long vacation hopefully filled with experiences, joy, swimming in the sea and in small lakes and also have quiet moments. This evokes memories. My youngest son and his classmates finished ninth grade in 2013. I and two other parents in the class took the children to London. There we had wonderful days with walks, experiences at museums and a night of music, where a band celebrated The Beatles. It was a good end for the students who then graduated in ninth grade in Lund. I now wish all children and young people a joyful and creative summer holiday.

Idag går många i elever i vårt land på sommarlov och många tar sin examen. Solen skiner och sommaren är här. Nu får eleverna en lång ledighet förhoppningsvis fylld av upplevelser, glädje, bada i havet och i små sjöar och även ha lugna stunder. Detta väcker minnen. Min yngste son och hans klasskamrater slutade nionde klass 2013. Jag och två andra föräldrar i klassen tog med barnen till London. Där hade vi underbara dagar med promenader, upplevelser på bland annat museer och en kväll med musik, där ett band firade The Beatles. Det blev ett bra slut för eleverna som då gick ut klass nio i Lund. Önskar nu alla barn och ungdomar ett glädjefyllt och kreativt sommarlov.

In English see down!

Så har då tiden kommit då Sveriges elever går in i en ny tid, sommarlov. De har arbetat hårt för att få ny kunskap och för att utvecklas som människor. De har lagt ner mycket arbete på att lära. Jag önskar nu alla er elever från f-klass till gymnasiet att ni alla får ett underbart sommarlov – en tid då ni bara kan vara – njuta av det gröna, bada i det blå, uppleva och vara nära era nära och kära.

Jag hade förmånen att få närvara vid en skolavslutning i en liten stad i Sverige häromdagen. Det hela ägde rum i vacker kyrka. Barnen sjöng sommarsånger och alla fick vi en känsla att nu är sommarlovet här. För oss lite ”äldre” fylldes våra hjärnor av minnen från skolavslutningar till musik med brusande orgeltoner och sedan långa varma härliga sommarlov.

School summer holidays

 

Surely the time has come when the Swedish students will enter a new time, summer vacation. They have worked hard to gain new knowledge and to develop as people. They have put a lot of work to learn. I wish now all of you students from f-class to high school that you all have a wonderful summer – a time when you just may be – enjoy the green, bathing in the blue, to experience and be close to your loved ones.

I had the privilege to attend a graduation in a small town in Sweden the other day. It all took place in the beautiful church. The children sang summer songs. All we got the feeling that now is the summer holidays here. For us a little ”older” filled our minds with memories of school closings to music with roaring organ tones and then long hot lovely summer holiday.

-The older youths traveled in beautiful cars to ”summer-prom” to meet the summer and the possibilities. – De äldre ungdomarna reste i vackra bilar till ”sommar-balen” för att möta sommaren, ledigheten och möjligheterna.

Gymnasieexamen i Malmö ! High school graduates in Malmö! Diplomati delle scuole superiori a Malmö!

Besökte Malmö på eftermiddagen och tog del av skolavslutningen.

Förra året vid denna tid var jag själv rektor och tog del av

Malmö Tekniska Gymnasiums elevers skolavslutning och resa

vidare till livet utanför skolans väggar.

Were visiting Malmö in the afternoon and took part of graduation.

Last year at this time, I myself was president and noted

Malmö Technical Gymnasium student graduation and trip

on to life outside the school walls.

Idag var det massor av lastbilar vars flak var fyllda av jublande

elever med ballonger och bengaliska eldar. De hade alla de 

obligatoriska studentmössorna på och de gav allt för att visa

hur lyckliga de var för sin studentexamen 2013.

Today there were lots of trucks whose platforms were filled with jubilant

students with balloons and Bengal fires. They had all the

mandatory student caps on and they gave everything to show

how happy they were for her high school graduation in 2013.
