Now, in January 2024, some astronauts fly up in a rocket to the International Space Station (ISS). The space station orbits our earth 16 revolutions a day.

Me and my daughter Frida, then 3 years old, built a staircase up to the Old Man in the Moon. We had longed to meet the Old Man in the Moon. We often stood by a window in our house and looked out at the moon and we longed so much to meet the Old Man in the Moon. So we started building a ladder up to the moon. When we built the ladder up to the moon, we finally got to meet the Old Man in the Moon and we had such a nice time up there. It has now been 34 years since we met the moon and when I now look up at the sky I see a crescent moon with a beautifully shining star at its side. Our walk up to the Old Man in the Moon then became a book. Thanks to the Old Man in the Moon for meeting us!

Nu, i januari 2024, flyger några astronauter i en raket upp till den internationella rymdstationen (ISS). Rymdstationen kretsar 16 varv runt vår jord om dygnet.

Jag och min dotter Frida , då 3 år, byggde en trappa upp till Gubben i månen. Vi hade länge längtat efter att få träffa Gubben i Månen. Ofta stod vi vid ett fönster i vårt hus och tittade ut på månen och vi längtade så mycket till att få träffa Gubben i Månen. Vi började så att bygga en stege upp till månen. När vi byggt stegen upp till månen fick vi äntligen  träffa Gubben i Månen och vi hade en så trevlig stund däruppe. Det har nu gått 34 år sedan vi träffade månen och när jag nu ser upp mot himlen ser jag en halvmåne som vid sin sida har en vackert lysande stjärna. Vår promenad upp till Gubben i Månen blev sedan till en bok. Tack Gubben för att vi fick ses!

Ora, nel gennaio 2024, alcuni astronauti volano su un razzo verso la Stazione Spaziale Internazionale (ISS). La stazione spaziale orbita attorno alla nostra terra compiendo 16 rivoluzioni al giorno.

Io e mia figlia Frida, che allora aveva 3 anni, costruimmo una scala fino al Vecchio nella Luna. Avevamo desiderato incontrare il Vecchio sulla Luna. Spesso stavamo vicino alla finestra di casa nostra e guardavamo la luna e desideravamo così tanto incontrare il Vecchio sulla Luna. Quindi abbiamo iniziato a costruire una scala fino alla luna. Quando abbiamo costruito la scala per la luna, abbiamo finalmente incontrato il Vecchio sulla Luna e ci siamo divertiti così tanto lassù. Sono passati 34 anni da quando abbiamo incontrato la luna e quando alzo lo sguardo al cielo vedo una falce di luna con una stella meravigliosamente brillante al suo fianco. Il nostro cammino verso il Vecchio sulla Luna è poi diventato un libro. Grazie al Vecchio della Luna per averci incontrato!

This year, 2023, became a tragic year with several disgusting wars where thousands of children and young people were killed. We are now entering a new year, 2024, and we must now all on our earth work to see each other and support each other in different ways and move towards a world filled with peace, love and security. A world where everyone can live well, everyone has a home and can eat food every day and have days filled with just love, security and a world where you can be who you are.

This year, 2023, I have donated more than 150 copies of my books that I created to children and young people. Before this Christmas, I donated 55 copies to children and young people who live a poor life. A good friend says: ”Like a modern-day Karl-Bertil (the tale of Karl Bertil Jonsson’s Christmas Eve), you give little sparks of joy to the city’s poor”.

Yes, maybe it is and seeing the happy children makes me as a ”poor pensioner” so happy. I now have a few hundred copies of my children’s and youth books left and I hope to donate these in the new year. Because as an ”unknown old man” it is next to impossible to get book publishers and booksellers interested in selling the books. Now we ring in a new year filled with peace, joy and love.

Detta år,2023, blev ett tragiskt år med flera vidriga krig där tusentals  barn och unga dödats. Vi går nu in i ett nytt år, 2024, och vi får nu alla på vår jord arbeta för att se varandra och på olika sätt stötta varandra och gå mot en värld fylld av lugn, kärlek och trygghet. En värld där alla kan leva bra, alla  har en bostad och kan äta mat varje dag och ha dagar fyllda av just kärlek, trygghet och en värld där man får vara den man är.

Detta år, 2023, har jag skänkt mer än 150 exemplar av mina böcker som jag skapat till barn och unga. Inför denna jul skänkte jag 55 exemplar till barn och unga som lever ett fattigt liv. En god vän säger: ”Likt en nutida Karl-Bertil ( sagan om Karl Bertil Jonssons julafton) skänker du små tomtebloss av glädje till stadens fattiga”.

Ja, kanske är det så och att se de glada barnen gör mig som en ”fattig pensionär” så glad. Jag har nu några hundra exemplar kvar av mina barn- och ungdomsböcker och dessa hoppas jag kunna skänka under det nya året. För som en okänd gammal gubbe är det i det närmaste omöjligt att få  bokförlag och bokhandlare intresserade av att sälja böckerna. Nu ringer vi in ett nytt år fyllt av fred, glädje och kärlek.

Quest’anno, il 2023, è diventato un anno tragico con diverse guerre disgustose in cui sono stati uccisi migliaia di bambini e giovani. Stiamo ora entrando in un nuovo anno, il 2024, e ora dobbiamo tutti sulla nostra terra lavorare per vederci e sostenerci a vicenda in modi diversi e muoverci verso un mondo pieno di pace, amore e sicurezza. Un mondo dove tutti possono vivere bene, tutti hanno una casa e possono mangiare cibo ogni giorno e avere giornate piene di amore, sicurezza e un mondo dove puoi essere chi sei.

Quest’anno, 2023, ho donato più di 150 copie dei miei libri che ho creato a bambini e ragazzi. Prima di questo Natale, ne ho donati 55 copie a bambini e giovani che vivono una vita povera. Un buon amico dice: Come un moderno Karl-Bertil (la storia della vigilia di Natale di Karl Bertil Jonsson), doni piccole scintille di gioia ai poveri della città.

Sì, forse è così e vedere i bambini felici mi rende felice come ”povero pensionato”. Adesso mi restano qualche centinaio di copie dei miei libri per bambini e ragazzi e spero di donarle nel nuovo anno. Dato che sono un autore ”vecchio” sconosciuto, è molto difficile convincere gli editori e i librai a vendere i libri. Ora salutiamo un nuovo anno pieno di pace, gioia e amore.

Brought Christmas joy to ”poor” families – Gav julglädje till ”fattiga” familjer – Allegria natalizia per le famiglie “povere”.

This Christmas, the non-profit association ”Hjälptill.nu”, in Borlänge, had the joy of making 70 children and their parents happy with the help of people who donated things and funds. I donated books that I had written, which the merry Santa gave out to the children. ”Hjälptill.nu” helps fellow human beings who for various reasons have found themselves in financial straits, such as unemployed single people with children. Since their inception, they have helped thousands of people. A week before this Christmas, the Italian restaurant BASTA Urban Italian in Borlänge invited 30 people to an Italian Christmas table. ”Hjälptill.nu” and the organization RIA were given the task of filling the places with people who are struggling financially. BASTA was filled with children and adults who do not have the opportunity to eat at a restaurant due to economic reasons, now they all had a beautiful and good time.

Denna jul hade den ideella föreningen ”Hjälptill.nu”, i Borlänge, glädjen att glädja 70 barn och deras föräldrar med hjälp av människor som skänkt saker och medel. Jag skänkte böcker som den glada tomten delade ut till barnen. ”Hjälptill.nu” hjälper medmänniskor som av olika anledningar hamnat i ekonomiskt trångmål som bland annat arbetslösa ensamstående med barn. De har sedan sin start hjälpt tusentals människor. En vecka före denna jul bjöd den italienska restaurangen BASTA Urban Italian i Borlänge 30 personer på ett italienskt julbord. ”Hjälptill.nu” och organisationen RIA  fick uppdraget att fylla platserna med personer som har det svårt ekonomiskt. BASTA fylldes med barn och vuxna som inte har möjlighet att äta på restaurang av ekonomiska själ, nu fick de alla en vacker och god stund.

Questo Natale, l’associazione no-profit ”Hjälptill.nu”, a Borlänge, ha avuto la gioia di rendere felici 70 bambini e i loro genitori con l’aiuto di persone che hanno donato cose e fondi. Ho donato i libri che avevo scritto, che l’allegro Babbo Natale ha regalato ai bambini. ”Hjälptill.nu” aiuta i propri simili che per vari motivi si trovano in difficoltà finanziarie, come ad esempio i single disoccupati con figli. Fin dalla loro nascita, hanno aiutato migliaia di persone. Una settimana prima di questo Natale, il ristorante italiano BASTA Urban Italian a Borlänge ha invitato 30 persone a una tavola natalizia italiana. ”Hjälptill.nu” e l’organizzazione RIA hanno avuto il compito di riempire i posti con persone in difficoltà finanziarie. BASTA si è riempita di bambini e adulti che non hanno la possibilità di mangiare al ristorante per motivi economici, ora si sono divertiti tutti molto bene

Then comes a message from a non-profit association ”Help Now” which helps fellow human beings who for various reasons have found themselves in financial difficulties. I have offered to donate my books to the Christmas presents that will now be distributed to the ”poor” on December 23. Now giving away 55 copies of the children’s books I created. ”Help Now” would like 10 copies of my book ”Frida och måntrappan” for children aged 1-4 years and 45 copies of the children’s/youth book ”STUNDER Berättelser från Järvsö”. I now have a few hundred copies of the books left and I am happy to donate these as well.

It is with great joy and care that I donate my books to children who live in families that lack an economy where they can have food on the table, clothes on their bodies and other useful things. I give the children an experience and I want them to have it together with their parents. – Merry Christmas to all children and young people and I wish you a good new year ahead in 2024, yes that it will be your best year!

Så kommer ett meddelande från en ideell förening ”HjälpNu” som hjälper medmänniskor som av olika anledningar hamnat i ekonomiska svårigheter. Jag har erbjudit mig att skänka mina böcker till de julgåvor som nu skall delas ut till  de ”fattiga” den 23 december. Skänker nu 55 exemplar av de barnböcker jag skapat. ”HjälpNu” vill ha 10 exemplar av min bok ”Frida och måntrappan” till barn i åldern 1-4 år och 45 exemplar av barn/ungdomsboken ”STUNDER Berättelser från Järvsö”. Har nu några hundra exemplar kvar av böckerna och jag skänker gärna även dessa. 

Det är med stor glädje och omtanke  jag skänker mina böcker till barn som lever i familjer som saknar en ekonomi där de kan ha mat på bordet, kläder på kroppen och andra nyttosaker. Jag skänker barnen en upplevelse och jag önskar att de får den tillsammans med sina föräldrar. – God Jul alla Barn och Unga och jag önskar att ni får ett bra nytt kommande år anno 2024, ja att det blir ert bästa år!

Poi arriva il messaggio di un’associazione no-profit ”Aiuta Adesso” che aiuta altri esseri umani che per vari motivi si sono trovati in difficoltà economiche. Mi sono offerto di donare i miei libri ai regali di Natale che verranno distribuiti ai ”poveri” il 23 dicembre. Adesso regalerò 55 copie dei libri per bambini che ho creato. HelpNu vorrebbe 10 copie del mio libro ”Frida och måntrappan” per bambini da 1 a 4 anni e 45 copie del libro per bambini/ragazzi ”STUNDER Berättelser från Järvsö”. Ora mi restano qualche centinaio di copie dei libri e sono felice di donare anche queste.

È con grande gioia e cura che dono i miei libri ai bambini che vivono in famiglie prive di un’economia dove possano avere cibo in tavola, vestiti addosso e altre cose utili. Giving books to children, it’s Christmas time – Skänker böcker till barn, det är juletid – Regalare libri ai bambini, è Natale

Reading an ad in the local paper. There will be a Christmas market in the center of Borlänge on December 16, and there, among other things, a political party will draw attention to reading among children and young people by donating books. I then contact the party and offer them to receive my children’s books, which I have created, and give them out as Christmas presents. The party responded quickly and they are so happy to receive my children’s books. We agree to meet at their booth and they get 25 copies to give out to increase reading among our children and young people. It feels so nice to be able to share my books ”FRIDA och måntrappan” and ”STUNDER stories from Järvsö” for free. Yes, many children today live in families that cannot afford Christmas presents, and here they get the chance to get just one Christmas present to experience together with their parents. I still have about 300 books left, which I am happy to share with you in order to help create increased reading among our children and young people. Last summer I gave out 50 copies when there was a party for children in a park in the city. Printing the books costs money, but it is still a great happiness to be able to make others happy!

Läser en annons i den lokala tidningen. Det kommer att vara en julmarknad i Borlänge centrum den 16 december och där kommer bland annat ett politiskt parti att uppmärksamma läsandet bland barn och unga genom att skänka böcker. Jag tar då kontakt med partiet och erbjuder dem att få mina barnböcker, som jag skapat,  och dela ut dem som julgåvor. Partiet svarade snabbt och de blir så glada över att få mina barnböcker. Vi kommer överens om att mötas vid deras monter och de får 25 exemplar att dela ut för att öka läsandet bland våra barn och unga. Känns så fint att få dela med mig gratis av mina böcker ”FRIDA och måntrappan” och ”STUNDER berättelser från Järvsö”. Ja, många barn lever idag i familjer som inte har råd med julklappar och här får de chansen att få just en julklapp att uppleva tillsammans med sina föräldrar. Jag har fortfarande ca 300 böcker kvar som jag gärna delar med mig av för att vara med och skapa ett ökat läsande bland våra barn och unga.  I somras delade jag ut 50 exemplar när det var en fest för barn i en park i staden. Att trycka upp böckerna kostar, men det är ändå en stor lycka att få glädja andra!

Allora contatto la festa e propongo loro di ricevere i libri dei miei figli, che ho creato, e di regalarli come regali di Natale. Il gruppo ha risposto rapidamente e sono così felice di ricevere i libri dei miei figli. Ci accordiamo per incontrarci al loro stand e riceveranno 25 copie da distribuire per aumentare la lettura tra i nostri bambini e giovani. È così bello poter condividere gratuitamente i miei libri ”FRIDA och måntrappan” e ”STUNDER stories from Järvsö”. Sì, molti bambini oggi vivono in famiglie che non possono permettersi i regali di Natale, e qui hanno la possibilità di ricevere un solo regalo di Natale da vivere insieme ai propri genitori. Mi restano ancora circa 300 libri, che sono felice di condividere con voi per contribuire a creare una maggiore lettura tra i nostri bambini e giovani. L’estate scorsa ne ho distribuite 50 copie in occasione di una festa per bambini in un parco della città. Stampare i libri costa, ma è comunque una grande felicità poter rendere felici gli altri!

Reading an advertisement in a newspaper. It is the non-profit association ”HjälpTill.nu” ( Help now ) that collects gifts for people/families who live in very difficult economic conditions. An example is unemployed single people with children. Now it’s about giving them joy this Christmas. This year, 2023 , the association wants to create a Christmas experience for all children and young people who live in difficult economic conditions the day before Christmas Eve.The event takes place in collaboration with Quality Hotell Galaxen in Borlänge.

I am happy and contact ”HjälpTill.nu”( Help now ) and offer to donate 100 children’s books that I created and which today lie in boxes, unsold, in a basement. It would be so gratifying to give the children an experience this Christmas through my physical books. I will receive an answer shortly and hope that they will receive and distribute the books to the children. Yes, as part of the Christmas experience on December 23rd where a Santa will give all the children living in tough conditions a Christmas present.

Läser en annons i en tidning. Det är den ideella föreningen ”HjälpTill.nu” som samlar in gåvor till människor/familjer som lever under mycket svåra ekonomiska förhållanden . Ett exempel är arbetslösa ensamstående med barn. Nu handlar det om  att ge dem glädje vid denna jul. Detta år, 2023, vill föreningen skapa en julupplevelse för alla barn och unga som lever under svåra ekonomiska förhållanden dagen före julafton. Evenemanget sker i samverkan med Quality Hotell Galaxen i Borlänge. 

Jag blir glad och kontaktar ”HjälpTill.nu” och erbjuder mig att skänka 100 barnböcker som jag skapat och som idag ligger i lådor, osålda, i en källare. Det vore så glädjande att få ge barnen en upplevelse denna jul genom mina fysiska böcker. Inom kort kommer jag att få ett svar och hoppas att de kommer att ta emot och dela ut böckerna till barnen. Ja, som en del av julupplevelsen den 23 december där en tomte kommer att ge alla barn som lever under tuffa förhållanden en julklapp.

Today, September 28, this year’s Book Fair in Gothenburg opens its doors! This year the Book Fair is investing a lot in children and reading and a magical place is now opening on the fair floor and the goal is to increase children’s interest in reading and that they find it fun.

The new children’s area is inaugurated by H.K.H. Prince Carl Philip and he have a great commitment to issues related to reading and writing, among other things through the work of the Princes’ Foundation to increase respect and understanding for people with dyslexia.So good that this year’s book fair focuses extra on children and reading, yes on reading promotion. The book fair runs from September 28 to October 1.

I participated 9 years ago at the Book Fair in Gothenburg where I presented my book ”Poems by the sea Mare Ligure & Other Moments”.

Idag den 28 september öppnar årets Bokmässa i Göteborg upp sina dörrar! I år satsar Bokmässan mycket på barn och läsande och en magisk plats öppnas nu på mässgolvet och målet är att öka intresset hos barn att läsa och att de tycker att det är roligt. 

Det nya barnområdet invigs av H.K.H. Prins Carl Philip och han har ett stort engagemang i frågor som handlar om att läsa och skriva bland annat genom Prinsparets Stiftelses arbete med att öka respekt och förståelse för personer med dyslexi. 

Så bra att årets bokmässa fokuserar extra på barn och läsande, ja på läsfrämjande. Bokmässan pågår från den 28 september till den 1 oktober. 

Jag deltog för 9 år sedan på Bokmässan i Göteborg där jag presenterade min bok ”Dikter vi havet Mare Ligure & Andra Stunder”.

Oggi, 28 settembre, la Fiera del Libro di quest’anno a Göteborg apre le sue porte! Quest’anno la Fiera del Libro investe molto sui bambini e sulla lettura e ora apre un luogo magico all’interno del quartiere fieristico con l’obiettivo di aumentare l’interesse dei bambini per la lettura e che la trovino divertente.

La nuova area bambini viene inaugurata da H.K.H. Lui e il principe Carlo Filippo sono molto impegnati nelle questioni legate alla lettura e alla scrittura, tra l’altro attraverso il lavoro della Fondazione dei Principi per aumentare il rispetto e la comprensione per le persone con dislessia. Così bello che la fiera del libro di quest’anno si concentri maggiormente sui bambini e lettura, sì alla promozione della lettura. La fiera del libro si svolge dal 28 settembre al 1 ottobre.

A child will be so happy to receive a book

Read that there is a cultural festival called Shangri-La in Folkets Park in Borlänge. The message for the festival is ”For the freedom of children and women”. I cycle there to see if I can participate by handing out my children’s books to the young visitors. I meet some of the people in charge and they say I would be happy to participate. I cycle home and pick up 50 copies of my two children’s books. There are many visitors and many different events. This includes family yoga, children can draw and create, face painting by the children, skateboarding, karaoke, performances by dance groups, music and trying out judo. And..all free!

I personally participate by giving the children a reading experience. I give them my children’s books that I wrote ”Frida and the moon stairway” and STUNDER stories from Järvsö”. There are many meetings with children and parents. When the children receive my book I am greeted with great joy. I sign the books and the parents tell their children : -We will read the book tonight! After two hours I have donated the 50 copies. It will be a moment filled with joy, community and love. And, it feels so good to donate the books instead of them lying unread in lots of boxes in a basement.

Läser att det hålls en kulturfestival med namnet Shangri-La i Folkets Park i Borlänge. Budskapet för festivalen är ”För barns och kvinnors frihet”. Jag cyklar dit för att höra om jag kan delta genom att dela ut mina barnböcker till de unga besökarna. Jag träffar några av de ansvariga och de säger att jag gärna får delta. Jag cyklar hem och hämtar 50 exemplar av mina två barnböcker. Det är många besökare och många olika evenemang. Det handlar bland annat om familjeyoga, barn får rita och skapa, ansiktsmålning av barnen, skateboard, karaoke, uppvisning av dansgrupper, musik och att prova på judo. Och..allt gratis!

Själv deltar jag genom att ge barnen en läsupplevelse. Jag skänker dem mina barnböcker som jag skrivit ”Frida och Måntrappan” och STUNDER berättelser från Järvsö”. Det blir många möten med barn och föräldrar. När barnen tar emot min bok möts jag av stor glädje. Jag signerar böckerna och föräldrarna säger till sina barn:  -Vi skall läsa boken ikväll. Efter två timmar har jag skänkt de 50 exemplaren. Det blir stund fylld av glädje gemenskap och kärlek. Och, det känns så bra att skänka böckerna istället för att de skall ligga olästa i mängder av kartonger i en källare. 

– Jag fick en bok. Nu skall jag hem och läsa den! / – I got a book. Now I’m going home to read it!

So the newly printed books from Print in Baltic JSC were finally delivered. A truck leaves a pallet filled with 400 copies of my two children’s books that I created. And, now my wish is to give them to children, young people and families. My purpose is to promote reading among children and young people. My dream is to be able to stand on Mynttorget next to the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm. Yes, the same place as Greta Thunberg and Fridays for Future has existed on Fridays for a couple of years.

I have now paid SEK 30,000 for printing the books and 45,000 for the graphic design. It is with consideration for children’s reading that I now donate the books from my heart and my brain. Hope that the children can put down their mobile phones and computers and read a physical book, preferably together with their parents.

Yes, now is the time to do it, but I need to know if a permit is needed to hand out the books on a street in Stockholm. Maybe you have a suggestion for a place where I could donate the books?

Så levererades äntligen de nytryckta böckerna från Print in Baltic JSC. En lastbil lämnar en lastpall fylld av 400 exemplar av mina två barnböcker som jag skapat. Och, nu är min önskan att få skänka dem till barn, unga och familjer. Mitt syfte är att främja läsandet hos barn och unga. Min dröm är att få stå på Mynttorget invid Riksdagshuset i Stockholm. Ja, samma plats som Greta Thunberg och Fridays for Future funnits på fredagar sedan ett par år. 

Jag har nu betalat 30 000 kr på att trycka böckerna och 45 000 på den grafiska formgivningen. Det är med omtanke om barns läsande som jag nu skänker böckerna från mitt hjärta och min hjärna. Hoppas att barnen kan släppa sin mobil och sin dator och läsa en fysisk bok, gärna tillsammans med sina föräldrar. 

Ja, nu är det hög tid att göra det, jag måste dock få veta om det behövs ett tillstånd för att dela ut böckerna på en gata i Stockholm. Kanske har du något förslag på en plats där jag skulle kunna skänka böckerna?

Now received a happy news that my two children’s books are printed and that they will be delivered from Print in Baltic JSC later this week. My dream remains that I will be able to donate the 400 copies to children and parents and thus contribute to an increasing reading of physical books. My idea is to distribute the books on a street in Stockholm and in Malmö. Reading a book together, children and parents, contributes to a shared experience and to the fact that the children will read books made of paper and be able to stop and think while reading.

Fick nu ett glädjande besked om att mina två barnböcker är tryckta och att de kommer att levereras från Print in Baltic JSC senare denna vecka. Min dröm kvarstår om att jag skall kunna skänka de 400 exemplaren till barn och föräldrar och på så vis bidra till ett ökande läsande av fysiska böcker. Min idé är att dela ut böckerna på en gata i Stockholm och i Malmö. Att läsa en bok tillsammans, barn och föräldrar, bidrar till en gemensam upplevelse och till att barnen kommer att läsa böcker gjorda av papper och kunna stanna upp och tänka under läsningen.
